Join us for cocktails at Tipples and Tickles at Balans Soho Society
I’m (was) the kind of person who usually grabs something quick to eat while shopping at Westfield but when I heard about a Mum & Kids cocktails menu I couldn’t resist to give it a go.
Balans Soho Society recently added this great new addition to their menu: Tipples & Tickles’. This new drinks menu includes an alcoholic ‘tipple’ for mum, with a complimentary non-alcoholic ‘tickle’ for the little one, offering up some quality cocktail/mocktail bonding time and rewarding mums for just being mums.
It’s perfect for a drink together after shopping at Westfield London and as kids love to copy what parents do this is ideal as the drinks look exactly the same, genius!!
We also tried their seasonally-changing lunch or dinner menu alongside the Tipples & Tickles menu. Although they don’t have a dedicated kids menu, kids can choose a smaller portion from anything on the a la carte menu.
We started with Quesadilla, then Bruno and I had The High Society Eggs Benedict and Suri had a Cheese Omelet that we actually asked without cheese and herbs and they kindly made it as we wanted.
For desert we had a scrumptious Hight Society Mess (that was huge by the way) and finished with Cappuccinos and a babyccino for Suri.
From the Tipples and Tickles we started with a The Society Teddy Bear and Ticklish Teddy Bear and finished with a Mummy’s Pick-me-up and a Cheeky Little Monkey.
Daddy couldn’t resist to try it as well.
Staff was amazing, food was perfect and we will definitely go back again. They have also other locations, visit their website for more info: http://www.balans.co.uk/balans-soho-society/.
It’s that time of the year again!!!! We’ve been there last year and ABSOLUTELY loved it so this year of course we won’t miss the Chestertons Polo in the Park for anything!
Here are some pictures of last year ;).
You may think that Polo is not for you and even less for your kids, think again because you will love it. Watching Polo is actually a very good experience even for those who like me don’t have a clue of how it works. It’s a fantastic experience and visually beautiful. I still find it hard to believe how they can play on a horseback and still drive such tiny ball to score a goal.
What’s more they made Sunday a Family Day which means that they didn’t cut short on the entertainment for all the family, last year was amazing but it seems that this year will be even better and with more things to do. It’s also the “Finals Day” when the city’s teams battle it out for victory and the chance to lift the winner’s trophy in front of the crowds.
The good thing is that you can actually enjoy the match and the vibrating atmosphere knowing that your child won’t be bored, plus you can all enjoy your day together as a family, exactly what I’m always looking for.
Sharky & George will be bringing back their exceptionally popular “pitch invasion”, but with a twist. This year, with the Rio Olympic fever building, they will be offering a family Olympics session, giving parents an opportunity to unleash their competitive spirits and take to the field between 11am – 1:30pm. The session will be packed with games guaranteed to bring fun and laughter, including:
- Mega sack races
- Rocket balloon javelin
- Giant sock wrestling arena
- Squirrel tails
- Ultimate water-bomb catapulting competition
- Biggest game of musical statues ever
- 100-a-side tug of war
- Space Hopper Steeplechase
But there’s even more news!
Chestertons Polo in the Park will this year see the debut of The Great Polo Food Festival, due to reinforce its position as one of the largest and most popular polo tournaments in Europe at Hurlingham Park, Fulham from 3 – 5 June.
The Great Polo Food Festival will bring together some of London’s top restaurants and trendiest street food traders to deliver an exceptional culinary experience for spectators attending the event at what’s known as the ‘spiritual home’ of polo.
Renowned chefs such as Gordon Ramsay, Mark Hix and Scott Hallsworth will be represented, serving a range of bespoke Chestertons Polo in the Park dishes, created especially for the event. Ramsay’s maze Grill takes inspiration from the iconic Manhattan grill rooms and will be serving rare breed steaks, fish and poultry, whereas Hallsworth’s signature ‘East meets West’ Japanese cuisine will be the prominent feature at his Kurobuta pop-up. Mark Hix, frequently lauded as one of London’s most eminent restaurateurs and known for his original take on British gastronomy, will be bringing together a range of classic favourites from his HIX restaurants to add to the offering.
I told you, WOW!
Of course there’s a lot more for you there, just have a look on Polo in the Park website and find out more about the event and what they have to give you a seriously good time!
We will be there on Sunday, do you want to join us?? I’ll be giving away a Family Ticket (2 adults and 2 kids) on my Instagram on Monday (30 May).
See you there!!!! 😉
Brunch Spots in London
You’ve probably already noticed that we are Brunch fans and we love to discover new places to try (and come return).
It all started because I’m a breakfast lover but my husband prefers lunch so I had the need to find a way of please both of us. Brunch is the perfect combination, it’s a mix of breakfast with lunch and the food reflects that, perfection!
We’ve tried many places for brunch in London and I will introduce you to all my favourites but these two below are just perfect for Spring/Summer with sunny days.
If possible try to book in advance specially if you plan to go during the weekend. In particular The Ivy Chelsea Garden where sometimes you have to make a reservation weeks in advance.
Have you tried any of them?
